The consultation for Draft Planning Scheme Amendment C232mbek at 22-38 and 27-31 The Avenue, Coburg has recently closed.
Echelon Planning has prepared this Amendment for Development Victoria to facilitate the redevelopment of the disused former TAFE and secondary school site into a mixed-use development with 4 buildings housing 277 apartments, a publicly accessible open space and a cafe. The PSA supports Development Victoria’s vision of housing diversity by providing a significant contribution to affordable housing and Build to Rent apartments on the site, to meet the changing housing needs of Coburg.
Our team has collaborated with Hayball Architects to create a highly sustainable design that makes full use of the site, which is adjacent to the Coburg Activity Centre and is highly accessible to a range of services, employment opportunities and public transport.
We look forward to the approval of this PSA that enables the revitalisation of Coburg and improved housing options for all.

Reading about the Coburg mixed use redevelopment was interesting, especially how the old school site will become housing, open space, and a café while supporting affordable living. During a planning module at university, I relied on cheap assignment help UK while trying to understand zoning and redevelopment ideas like this. It helped me see how thoughtful urban planning can reshape communities, and projects like this show how cities can grow more responsibly.
