New Initiative - Townhouse Design in the City of Darebin
The City of Darebin has developed exemplar designs to demonstrate how its Good Design Guide might be applied to new townhouse developments.
These designs have been developed in collaboration with Breathe Architecture, Kennedy Nolan and Six Degrees. The exemplar designs are developed as generic design outcomes for a range of lot sizes that are common within Darebin, and applicants are encouraged to use them as a starting point to develop their own plans, modified to suit the local context and requirements.
The publication is a very readable, user-friendly way of getting proponents to think about some new approaches to townhouse design – a great initiative!
