Three new Regional Parks announced

The Victorian Government has announced that three new Regional Parks will be delivered in Melbourne’s growth corridors: Werribee Township Regional Park, Kororoit Creek Regional Park and Clyde Regional Park.

The Clyde Regional Park will be adjacent to the future Clyde Park Sports Precinct on Ballarto Road and Muddy Gates Lane. This Regional Park was previously shown to be within the McPherson PSP. A PAO is proposed to be placed on the land via Amendment GC99.

The Minister for Planning has appointed a Standing Advisory Committee, known as the Regional Parks Standing Advisory Committee, to provide advice on planning proposals that seek to facilitate delivery of the three regional parks.

The 2017-18 State budget will fund the initial two years of land acquisition to facilitate the creation of the three parks. Read more about how this parks are proposed to be delivered here https://www.planning.vic.gov.au/policy-and-strategy/regional-parks
