Michelle Wang - Senior Urban Planner

Michelle possesses a strong foundation in statutory planning developed through eight years of working in urban and regional Councils on a range of complex planning permit applications and appearing at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) and the Building Appeals Board (BAB).


Michelle’s experience provides a unique insight into how planning policies, procedures and politics combine to influence decision-making. This, along with her ability to build relationships across Council and key stakeholders allow her to anticipate and proactively resolve issues in the planning approvals process.


Michelle is an enthusiastic, conscientious, and personable urban planner with a bias to action. Her strong analytical, technological and people skills give her the ability to connect with people of all backgrounds, to find practical win-win solutions for projects, and synthesise complex planning issues into clear and concise reports and diagrams.


Michelle is a valued team player and an emerging leader who is passionate about championing diverse teams and achieving excellent planning outcomes.
