Chris Renkin - Principal Urban Planner
Chris is a strategic and statutory planner with extensive experience in private practice and local government.
Chris has experience in a wide variety of projects across Victoria including structure plans, housing and settlement strategies, neighbourhood character studies, coastal management plans, local coastal hazard assessments, healthy by design projects, urban agriculture projects; urban design guidelines, greenfield development plans, rural land use strategies, planning scheme amendments (using the ATS) and development approvals.
Chris has a sound understanding of the planning framework, and has managed multi-disciplinary team projects from inception to implementation. She ensures that any planning strategy can be translated into the most up-to-date and workable planning controls for effective implementation.
Through her work, Chris continues to seek and apply innovative solutions to the future challenges facing planning and the design of land, spaces, places and communities across Victoria. Chris has recently delivered a State Government Pilot Project - planning for sea level rise - by translating a local coastal hazard assessment for Port Fairy into the Victorian Planning Provisions via a structure plan.
