The City of Casey is developing a vision and strategic directions for four remaining unplanned PSP urban precincts within the Casey Growth Area. Echelon Planning facilitated a workshop for the City of Casey in  June 2018, in order to inform the Vision and Strategic Direction of these yet to be planned precincts.

Approximately 50 participants attended the workshop. A range of academic, private sector and government experts attended, from fields including transport planning, economics, urban design, landscape architecture, community infrastructure, open space planning, environment, heritage, water management and statutory planning. The workshop included a number of presentations from leading experts.

Echelon prepared a report summarising the outcomes of the workshop. The report documents the priorities for jobs and investment, housing, transport, health communities, urban design, place making and the natural environment identified by attendees, as well as setting out some of the site specific considerations identified for each of the remaining PSP areas.

It is intended that the outcomes  arising from the workshop will be further developed to prepare a vision document that will be used by Council to advocate for better planning and development outcomes in each of these four unplanned precincts.
